美国时间2017 年11 月28 日，西雅图新市长Jenny Durkan 宣誓仪式，在西雅图国际社区华人武打功夫李小龙纪念馆举行宣誓就职仪式。新市长Jenny Durkan 选择这个地方举行她的新上任的宣誓仪式地点，有着一份特殊的中美友好情谊，她感谢西雅图的侨领广洲广府会创会会长梁国尧、广州联谊会会长萧鸣、广州广东江门五邑会会长邝建成、华州广府会会长睛天, 溯源堂、合胜堂、至孝笃亲公所等侨领们和所有支持她的华人华侨对她的支持。将于今日正式就任西雅图市长。

Jenny Durkan 市长；是西雅图近百年以来首位女市长，她以56% 选票胜选。就职仪式在盲人艺术音乐家的表演中拉开帷幕，Jenny Durkan 新市长发表了重要演讲，她说她热爱西雅图，她在这里生活，她在这里工作。西雅图是一个很美的城市，但仍存在很多问题需要挑战，她宣誓将带领她的同僚们精诚为西雅图社区服务，她将与每一位西雅图市民在一起，共同为西雅图更美好而团结在一起。

The Seattle’s new Mayor, Jenny Durkan took the sworn oath of Mayor at a ceremony held at the Bruce Lee Memorial Hall of Chinese martial arts in Seattle’s International Community. Jenny Durkan, the new mayor, chose this place to hold her newly appointed place of swearing-in ceremony with a special friendship between China and the US on November 28th of the US pacific time. The new mayor of Seattle, Jenny Durkan had her oath of Inauguration.

She thanked seattle leaders of Overseas Chinese for their wholehearted support including Mr. Liang,Guoyao , the president of the Guangzhou Association; Xiao, Ming, Guangdong Province; president of Wuxi Association, Mr. Qing,Tian president from Guangfu Association, Mr. Kuang,Jiancheng president of Guangzhou Jiangmen Wuyi Younth Association; Suyuantang, Zhixiaoduqin Gongsuo, Heshengtang, and all the Chinese overseas Chinese. Miss Durkan will be inaugurated today as mayor of Seattle.

Jenny Durkan，the new mayor, is the first female mayor in seattle for nearly a hundred years, who won the election by 56% votes.The inaugural ceremony opened the curtain in the performance of the blind artist.

Jenny has made an important speech. She says she loves seattle where she lives and works here. Seattle is a beautiful city, but there are still a lot of challenges to be overcome, and she is sworn to lead her colleagues to the seattle community service, and she will be with every citizen to work hard for a better Seattle.
